Southwest Eugene Painted Cabinets for Kitchen Makeover

Painted Kitchen Cabinets in Southwest Eugene

Cabinetry is often what stands out most in a kitchen.  It is important that kitchen cabinets have a durable, cleanable finish and being the focal point of your kitchen it is also important that they look amazing!

Many kitchens have nice cabinetry with an outdated stained or painted finish.  Sometimes all it takes is a new paint job to rejuvenate and modernize your kitchen.

Here we show a recent Cabinet Painting Project completed in Southwest Eugene. Our client is the homeowner and designer of this make over. She had the amazing ability to visualize what she wanted. Along with her husband, she worked with us to find the right colors and sheens. We guided them with our knowledge of products and applications.

We begin by seeing how dated the kitchen looked.  During the initial site visit Beck Painting determined the cabinets were well built and in good shape and definitely eligible for a paint job.

A lot of work went into revitalizing these outdated, dark red toned, wood cabinets. The results you see in the next few pictures show the transformative power of painting your kitchen cabinets.  We used a beautiful, off white, color in a soft, 20 degree satin sheen for the perimeters.

The product we use is unlike your typical trim paint. We use a multi-component polyurethane for the absolute best durability, cleanability and appearance.

The paint we use for kitchen cabinetry is extremely cleanable. By the time we were able to get some pictures and preparing for the photo shoot we noticed coffee had spilled down the face of the cabinets under the espresso maker. We were able to easily wipe it clean with a paper towel and warm water. There was no stain left behind.

For a dramatic effect we chose a black color for the island which really helped tie in the bold black appliances.  For the island we used a 10 sheen matte finish to help soften the center of the space.

We couldn’t be happier with the end results and we had a wonderful time working with our clients on this kitchen make over. We were pleased that they had us back to do some painting in other areas of the house. They were also among the many of our clients who gave us a 5 star Google review. It feels good to be appreciated. We look forward to working with you on your next painting project.
